Our baby girl has finally made her way into our arms! I don’t think I could ever accurately put into words the experience of her birth, but I’ll attempt to here!

After Nolan, whose birth was induced at 38 weeks, I didn’t think that this birth experience would be in such stark contrast to my first baby’s delivery!

As any mom will tell you, all pregnancies are different and come with different perspectives. I’m not sure exactly what I was expecting from this labor, but it certainly wasn’t a quick two hours of labor at the hospital.

Things never go quite the way you expect, and our girl decided to arrive in her own unique way.

Our sweet little girl arrived 6 days late. (Yes, I was wondering if I’d be pregnant forever!)

We jetted off to the hospital in the middle of the day, and big brother Nolan told a neighbor we were going to pick up the baby in a box from the hospital. Nolan was calm, collected, and cool as can be!

Baby girl was anxious to make her arrival. We moved into the mother-and-baby wing in time for Nolan to come meet his baby sister and bring dinner, too!

I am so excited to share this joy with you! The newest member of our family has even assisted on a photoshoot already. That proves she’s going to be a great helper!
